Thinking about selling your home in Brentwood? Before you spend money on projects, walk through the house the way a buyer will. Start with what an inspector will write up: a roof near the end of its life, an HVAC system that has not been serviced, a slow leak under a sink, a soft spot in the deck. Those items tend to come back up during the inspection period, so it often makes sense to handle them first or have an answer ready. Then look at what buyers notice in the first minute: the front door, the yard, the lighting, and how clean and open each room feels. Fresh paint and a deep clean can do more than a big project. What I would usually leave alone: a full kitchen or bath remodel right before you list. You don't get to pick the finishes the next owner wants. I will walk your Brentwood home with you and give you a short list, in order, of what I would do and what I would skip. Thinking about selling? Call me and ask.
